Week 4: Character Animations

Craft: The drawings were created using Adobe Character Animator. I created the puppets using tools in Adobe Photoshop to customize my characters. Character Animator had a template that ordered each part of the characters' bodies strictly to ensure the animations would work after being customized in Photoshop or Illustrator.
Concept: The point of this assignment was to create a character that could be animated with motions and voice in Character Animator.
Composition: Part of the guidelines for the assignment was that the character had to look un-human as possible. With this in mind, I created theses wacky characters.

Week 2: New Bumper with Sound

Craft: The bumper was created in Adobe Photoshop where I used a host of tools such as the timeline feature where I could adjust positions, opacities, and styles. The sound effects were created using Garage Band.

Concept: The concept was to create a bumper that could serve as a intro to future animations.

Composition: The sound effects in Garage Band is what guided the appearance of the composition. I kept certain aspects of my previous bumper, such as having the letters float in, settle in position and brighten one by one, however it was the "Ice Mallet" synth in Garage Band that made me want to go with a wintery theme. I continued this idea of winter by using blue hues and finding a font that would convey the idea of coldness or ice.
